About
Progressive, aggressive, and with a strong message, Barcelona-based Beatspoke is a part of the new wave of future soul artists. Fearlessly melding genres with unparalleled success, they are ones to watch. In early 2009 they released their debut album ¨No Rush¨ (Inphusion) along with two EPs featuring remixes by European artists such as DJ Vadim, Blackjoy, Dave da Gato (Zero dB) and Ishfaq, as well as artists in Japan like Aroop Roy, Sauce 81, Kez YM and Fujimoto Tetsuro.
Since then they´ve been nominated for and won several awards including theGilles Peterson´s Worldwide Festival Talent Search (2009) and Radio Grenouille´s Hangtime Award for Best First Album (2009).
And they´ve been touring around europe in support of their album release sharing stages with DJ Vadim, Yarah Bravo, Gilles Peterson, Bonobo, Alice Russel, Wax Tailor, Zero dB, Simbad, Diplo, and Bugz in the Attic amongst others.
Their live shows, a combination of vintage synth sounds, fat analogue broken beats, seductive vocals over live-looped harmonies and spoken word, are orchestrated through a synchronized string of drum machines, samplers, synths and even an iPad.
They are currently working on their second album to be released soon.
